Steelcraft Consort pram - One owner since 1970!

One owner vintage Steelcraft Consort pram- 1968-72 series in 'Navy Calf' vinyl.

This was used for family members then put into storage years ago. The owners were present on this exact morning and they were absolutely delighted that their pram was going to be saved, and not destroyed. It was Steelcraft's largest offering at the time, and this example is in superb condition for its age. Although visually similarly styled to the 'Regal' model, the 'Consort' has a fully removable and reversible pram body (which was big news in 1968!) and the pram body could also be placed across the back seat of the family car, as a travel bassinet/cot back then.

This pram is in remarkable condition for its age, with no rips or tears in the upholstery, coverings or hood.

The period toddler seat was called the "hitch-hiker" and was a popular accessory in the day

It's always more precious when you meet original owners as you can appreciate their sentimental attachment to their prams and the reasons they have kept them for all these years .
